BIOGRAPHY

Amer Chamaa is a Lebanese multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and DJ. Active in Lebanon’s music scene since 2006, he moved to Germany in 2015 to broaden his artistic practice and deepen his creative knowledge. He returned to Lebanon in 2026, where he intends to remain for the foreseeable future.

Amer plans to dedicate the coming years focusing on developing a distinct sonic identity that can accommodate the breadth of his musical interests within a coherent artistic universe. He sees this process as essential to creating meaningful and lasting work.

A self-taught artist, Amer Chamaa has developed his practice through more than two decades of independent research, experimentation, and learning.

STATEMENT

I am interested in the transformative powers of the arts. I use them as a form of magic to exert influence over situations that need mending and tending to. I fight boredom, all kinds of politics and anything that dulls our existence. I try to elevate the world around me, or calm it down by harnessing the powers of music, poetry, story-telling and by the manipulation of colors. I’ve been at it since school times, where my main audience was my group of friends. Everyone else was my enemy. I’ve since then made many more friends.

Today I believe in using the arts in a way that nurtures the human spirit and expands the collective consciousness. I like to create experiences that induce psychic states of acceptance and openness to new ideas and ways of being. I love most living beings. I have a strong emotional connection to them and draw a lot of inspiration from listening to their stories, and passing them on to others. That being said, I like being left alone.
